so elated now.
papers are over.
friday's and monday's are hols.
time to catch up on my precious sleep.
hmm.
just watched bruce almighty todaee.
really left me thinking.
whether we are truly taking life for granted.
when we are upset with the things we do in life.
when we do not get what we want at times
do we really blame gOd?
hmmm
oh well.
it seems that people nowadays have become more american-ised.
oh goodness.
just this evening jasmine was like AARON AARON AARON! HOWS LIFE KICKING?
whatever happened to the singapore style of greeting..
FOR EXAMPLE.
SINGAPORE WAY OF GREETING: oei oei oei
AH BENG: knn ! ccb! le hor bo ( you alright?) abbreviations are used to cater for the refined people such as myself.
MARIST: A A A ( they meant HEY HEY HEY, but somehow it comes off as A A A )
MY BARTLEY FRIENDS: oei. kua simi? ( look at what?) i think the translation is wrong.
MY MALAY FRIENDS: ( they just smile )
MY INDIAN FRIENDS: *!(_&@*&!()@&*(_!@&~ ( and no, i'm not being racist. just that my com doesnt offer the indian symbols)
XING YI: HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOO
HUI YI: ELLO ELLO. V. E ! ( i thought it was L.O.V.E song)
yess.
life is so weird now.
singapore is gonna become america sooner or later.
with all those variety shows.
i mean, do you enjoy local variety shows or the ones from uS?
its like that LOST AND FOUND food show and PROJECT RUNWAY.
oh yes. i like project runway. all those err.. manly men. wooo. they're full of oestrogens ( female genes)
but its offer of entertainment value is so muchmore than the singaporean ones!
so many people, eg. MISS SIN, are gaga over AMERICA NEXT TOP MODEL?
even songs too.
which reminds me.
that BEEP song by pussycat dolls?
yes
i've finally discoverd the name.
wooo.
what a discovery.
for me its like columbus discovering spain. wwait. was it america. err.
that song's retarded anw.
i no longer have any idea what a singaporean lifestyle should be like.
adoption of the american livelihood is pretty common now.
haiz.
surprisingly.
i find people who are able to recite a slew of 'refined' english in hokkien, much more interesting than the people who go like YOYOYOYO, WHATS UP DUDE? or MY POP'S WATCHIN THE TELLY MAN.
i mean compare that with OEI. CHAO CHEEBYE LAH. KAN NI NA. LE BOR JIA PENG AH (you never eat rice ah) LE KANA SAI LAH ( you're full of shit)
wooo.
not that i love expanding my vocab.
but i just find it highly amusing and would always listen intently whenever a bunch of what i call TRUE SINGAPOREANS gather together to recite such beautiful 'poems'.
yeah.
thats the future if singapore sadly.
lee hsien long is screwed.
shit.
why am i even saying that when i'm in grassroots.
wow
great level of emulation.
way to go.
anyhow.
tml meeting up with netto at cp.
wanted to chat with him for some time. oh well.
oh yes.
to those who are keen and bent on going jc ( like i was previously)
BE PREPARED.
cos you'll need a hell of of discipline in school.
in secondary sch, you are still entitled to last min study which might be able to secure you a passing or even a distinction grade.
however.
screw that notion in jC.
there's too much to squeeze in one night.
EG.
for H2 geog. you have 15 chapts and a ton of CASE STUDIES for mid years. each chap is about minimum 10 pages worth of content
EG.2
for H2 maths. you have 12 chapts and one chapt usually takes a minimum of 2 hours just to get the hang on it.
sighs.
oh
theres econs too.
but i didn't really consider it a headache cos i'm supposedly good at it.
haha~
but yes.
if you're planning to do last min work in jc.
be prepared to either suffer a breakdown. which i almost did. or i already did. haha.
i guess poly life is much more relaxed and at a slower pace. but the self discipline there is also needed.
just that jc's momemtum's much faster and stress level is really high.
so when my juniors told me they were all so excited about using the DSA plan to get into jC,
ah well.
to each his own.
but generally,
jc's fun
just that you'll treasure your secondary school friends more.
for unknown reasons yes.
hmmm.
ok. time to catch up 2 days worth of sleep.
